I pastor a 1300-member church on the SW side of Chicago, Calvary Church. I am ordained in the Reformed Church in America and have my Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary.   I have written for The Gospel Coalition, have contributed  at Lifeway Pastors, and served on the board of The Restored Hope Network.  I co-wrote, Compassion without Compromise: how to love your gay friends without losing the truth; and recently wrote, Hope for the Same-Sex Attracted. I also have a podcast, Ordinary Christians.

I am interested in culture, faith and philosophy. I write extensively on these topics from the viewpoint of someone deeply invested in contributing to the common good and sharing the worldview of Jesus.
